Scrapbooking is more than just preserving memories; it’s about telling a story through creativity and design. For this page, I’ve used the new Terrific Toadstools bundle and paired it with the Around it All Dies for a organic, whimsical effect:

I made this layout in about 45 minutes, and really did just use the bits and pieces that were on the table after creating for my Terrific Toadstools Class to Go.
I only had little 6″ strips of the Toadstool Garden papers left, so I made them into a striped border. This is a fun little idea for using even the small pieces you may have left over. Simply cut them where the photo will go to make the 6″ piece stretch right across an 8″ scrapbooking layout.

My vision for this layout was to have the mats and background coordinate with the photo, and to have the two toadstools completely different colors for high contrast. I used Melon Mambo and Berry Burst here for some bright pop to this fun project.
The “circles” underneath are from the Around it All dies, a set of concentric, wonky circles for a fun, organic effect. I wasn’t sure what to do with these at first, but I’m finding them quite fun!

For an easy, cost effective border, one idea is to stamp a sentiment or words over and over. I love this idea; it adds a title, and an interesting border at the same time.
