Today’s share is a special layout of my youngest daughter’s (Sofie) wedding last year. I used the Everyday Happiness papers, a superb paper pack with interesting, but still quite neutral, prints. It’s perfect for both card making and memory keeping:

I took my inspiration right from the Stampin’ Up! Scrapbooking Brochure, and then adjusted it to work with my photos and my personal style. This is probably the easiest (and my favorite) way to create!
It’s very hard to design with a seemingly huge blank paper in front of you. There are so many great ideas out there, so try picking a layout or two that appeals, and start from there, adjusting as you go.

The sample in the brochure made use of the Everyday You & Me stickers and ephemera, which I didn’t have, so I made my own! It’s great to have the option of pre-printed items for speed or when you have limited supplies, but it’s also great to have stamps and inks to make your own to suit.
I used the Everyday You and Me stamp set with the Pretty Peacock two-toned cardstock. I white embossed the little rose image, and then cut it out with the Stylish Shapes dies.

On the same line of thought, I simply stamped the rose and leaf images and die cut them out in place of stickers. The beauty of the stamps is I can use them over and over for years AND I can have them in any color to coordinate with my project!

The second page coordinates and repeats the elements in a different way. Adding the little tags under the photos not only adds a splash of color, but it’s a great way to use those small scraps.

I’ll be teaching this layout one more time on 6 April in Hamilton; please join me! If you can’t make it along, shop the Everyday Happiness Papers and the Everyday You and Me Workshop Kit here!
