Going Global Masculine “My Guy” Layout

I am really, really pleased with how this one turned out.   And I will divulge that it brought a tear to my dear husband’s eye.

I wanted to use the awesome Going Global set for a layout before it disappears:

I created the background with strips of the Going Places Paper Stack.

I’ve created a cool brick wall detail using the Brick Wall Embossing Folder – a MUST HAVE – in two of the corners.  Hubby likes the beat-up, natural look.   The Antique Brads are a second MUST!

I used the Going Global stamp set for the subtitle. I did rearrange the sentiment stamp a little so it would fit and work with this particular die, currently a real favorite.

The design was relatively busy, so I’ve created a hidden tag under the photo, which adds a bit of detail without being to frilly.

I taught this last night and look forward to teaching it a few more times:
