My project today has been sitting in my “to blog” stack for nearly a year. Yikes! I just loved how this card with the cute bear from the Count on Me stamp set turned out. His adorable overalls are drawn in, but it’s NOT has hard as it looks. (If I can, you sure can)
To create this look: stamp your bear from the Count on Me stamp set. It’s best if you can ink his outline with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker, omitting his fur markings.
Next, use the fine end of the same marker and draw in the neckline. Then the right hand sleeve. Last, draw two lines at the bottom of his/her legs to create the bottom of the pants.
Adding clothes to this fun bear just takes the whole image to a different level! I got this idea from a sample seen long ago on one of the Stampin’ Up! demonstrator groups. We love to share ideas with each other; it’s a great resource for sharing ideas and continually learning. I’d love to have you join me!
To create the polka dots on the overalls, color in as desired with Stampin’ Blends.
Next, use the Color Lifter and lightly dot all over. The color lifter will “move” the color to lighten it in that area. Fun and easy!
