Hi, stamping friends! Today’s share is a vintage style card, featuring gorgeous copper accents and a simple masking technique. I’ve used the new Forever Forest stamp set for the images with non-traditional colors for a unique Christmas card.
I shared this project with my team last weekend at our big Team Day Out event, and it was a great project to share a technique, but the card went together fairly quickly.
Different to traditional reds and greens, I’ve gone with Moody Mauve and Early Espresso for the color palette. I think it’s quite nice for a non traditional Christmas card. It would also make a nice sympathy card with a few tweaks.
I’ve used a simple masking technique to create the moon. Cut a circle out of scrap paper, lay it on the Very Vanilla panel, and then ink around with Crumb Cake and Moody Mauve. It’s such a nice way to create a sun or moon effect using just inks!
