It’s nearly Valentine’s Day, and while it’s not a widely celebrated day here in New Zealand, I feel it’s always a good day to tell someone you care about or love them. I have often wondered why Valentines are often pink and red, when at least half the time the gifts and cards are being given to blokes . . . So today I share with you a project that is suitable for any one, at any time of the year:
I drew the color inspiration from the lollipop. I thought this was a fun, happy treat, made even better with a matching fun, happy card.
For the card,I mainly used the Adoring Hearts bundle, which includes a stamp set, dies, and a coordinating embossing folder. Even better, the large die fits inside the folder so you can cut and emboss all in one go!
I took it one step further and inked the folder with Versamark (using the new brayer) first, so the solid hearts came out inked, cut, and embossed in one pass.
The more detailed hearts are from the same Adoring Hearts die set.
