Six Great Ways to Use the Aspens of Gratitude Paper Pumpkin Kit
Today’s share are some alternative ideas for the beautiful Aspens of Gratitude Paper Pumpkin kit. When I first opened the box, I thought “these are beautiful as is; what else can I possibly do with it?”. I actually really love the challenge.

For the first project, I kept it fairly simple, and just split the card front and added a piece of the Sunflower Fields paper behind. That whole pack of paper tones in really well with the Aspens of Gratitude kit.

I added a bit of luxe with a gold foiled label using the Frames and Flourishes bundle and the Hot Foiling System. These frames worked very well with the stamp set in this Paper Pumpkin kit.

This card reminds me of my childhood and growing up in Montana with the aspens. They are truly beautiful, and possibly my favorite tree. It would be a tie with those maple trees that turn entirely pink.

Next, I wanted to use those beautiful aspen frames. They are quite lovely right over the printed images in the kit (like the first card), but they can also be used over your own stamped images. In this instance, I used torn paper and blending brushes to create my own little scene.
The aspen trees took it up another level.

This cute little deer is from the Welcome Noel bundle; she was just the right size for this scene.

For this next version, I went with the same idea of creating my own scene, this time with the Graceful Evergreen bundle. I also used a little embossing paste for the snow at the bottom, just for extra texture.
I brayered the aspen frame from the Aspens of Gratitude kit with Garden Green ink. You could flip it over and do the blank side, but I quite liked how the aspen details still showed through a bit.

These deer are a bit larger than the sample above, and this time with the Gold Foil and the Hot Foil System. I think these guys are quite elegant, and I’m quite partial to deer for Christmas.
I used the rest of my kit consumables creating a scrapbooking layout, which is included in the PDF at the bottom of this post.

Therefore, I next moved into creating projects using the stamp set in the Aspens of Gratitude kit and the Detailed Flora die set, the dies that coordinated with the three Paper Pumpkin kits this quarter.
I had this background on my table as a leftover from something else I was trying (this gorgeous stencil is included in the Painted Pumpkins bundle), and it worked great with these turquoise leaves. Both the leaves and the circle are from the Detailed Flora dies.

I cut the leaves in white, and blended over them with various shades of blue-greens, like Lost Lagoon, Coastal Cabana, and Pretty Peacock. The words are from the Aspens of Gratitude stamp set.

Then I went back to the Sunflower Fields paper pack (they are a natural companion to the Aspens of Gratitude kit), and used those leaves again to create a quick 6x 8″ layout.

This time the leaves look quite different done in Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, and Golden Glow.

For a very simple, quick idea, I used those pretty leaf stamps in the Aspens of Gratitude kit and made a clean and simple card in Autumn colors.
Next, I stepped it up:

This is basically the same idea, but this time in a square format. In addition, I copper heat embossed those leaves and watercolored them. I also added a few more layers behind.
