My share this month is a masculine card perfect for Father’s Day or for an upcoming birthday. I saw this background effect on a swap on the Stampin’ Up! Mediterranean Cruise (I think) and just loved it. Simply cut the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper into strips and rough up the edges a bit to create a texture plank effect.
It’s a bit light in this photograph, but I did sponge a background behind the tree with Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz. Then I stamped the tree over the top with Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, and Cherry Cobbler. It needed a “bit more”, so I’ve added a few leaves with Copper Embossing Powder, too.
