Today’s share is one that really appeals to me; I’ve grown to really love the clean and simple look, while not skimping on detail or technique. In this project, I’ve used the Ladybug Punch with embossing paste in the background.

For this sample, I went with the Pool Party background and a Fresh Freesia ladybug. I was so pleased when I first came to New Zealand to discover blue ladybugs!
For the background, I’ve used a watercolor wash, let dry, and then used a nice layer of Embossing Paste with the Butterflies & Flowers masks. I had forgotten how much fun embossing paste can be!

For this sample, I mixed in a little Crumb Cake ink to the background just to experiment. I like it. It’s just a different look.

Which color is your favorite? I like them all; each with their own unique look, but I think I am slightly more partial to the Fresh Freesia (purple) one.
Be sure to add a few Matte Black dots to your Ladybug Punch for a bit of contrast and texture, too.
