Today’s share is a throwback to an old favorite card technique: making the card base right out of acetate (aka Window Sheets). This creates a striking effect with the card elements almost appearing as if they are floating.
For this project, I used the Joyful Flurry snowflakes and white embossed right onto the acetate. I’ll show you how to do this in the video below.
I love the effect of stamping on acetate.
The paper elements of the card need to be layered on both sides of the acetate in order to hide the adhesive. Make use of all the layers and create multiple mats for the images or words.
I kept the embellishments fairly simple to maintain the beautiful acetate elements as the star of the show. I felt a simple silver snowflake and a rhinestone was enough to accent with out detracting.
