Today’s share turned out even better than I had envisioned, and even inspired a scrapbooking layout, which I’ll share in a later post. The new Beautifully Penned papers are free with purchase during August and September, and I thought they’d be stunning paired with the new Frayed Blushing Bride ribbon. Gray and pink is always a very sophisticated combination:
The great thing about this card front is all you need is very thin strips! I often end up with skinny strips of papers, and they usually end up being donated to a friend. But here is a useful idea for using those thin strips in an impactful way.
I do suggest the addition of solid cardstock between two prints if they are quite similar in tone. Otherwise, the impact of the strips of paper is a little lost.
One of my favorite new products in the new Mini Catalogue is this Frayed Blushing Bride ribbon! I absolutely love texture, and I love pretty, so this just has my number. And pink does look great next to the grays.
I’ll show you the rock-n-roll technique in the video below to create the two-toned look to the Hand-Penned flowers. It’s quick, easy, and all you need is a stamp and two ink pads!
And if you have big pieces, use them to make a beautiful envelope to match! Any card looks extra special in a remarkable envelope.
