DIY Altered Clipboard | Easy Gift Idea with Stampin’ Up! Floral Impressions Paper
Today’s share is a very fun project, perfect for personal use, teacher’s gifts, or something for a fellow crafter: a DIY altered clipboard! I just love taking things that are ordinary (and inexpensive), and turning them into something personalized and special. I used the Floral Impressions papers for something bright and happy:

My original thought was just to pretty up a clipboard for use as a heat embossing board. They are pretty great with the firm board and the built-in clip. But these could also be used as a clipboard or even just a decor piece in an office or classroom.

I did ink up the clipboards before starting to give them a color difference or a bit of depth. For this one, I used Secret Sea, and I have to say, it does look pretty good! This was MUCH easier than trying to get paper to fit around the clip.
For the clipboard below, I used Pecan Pie to add richness to the standard “cardboard color”.

All of the floral prints and the coordinating solid prints are from the Floral Impressions paper pack, a bright and happy collection of a rainbow of floral and more solid prints. I love this paper pack!

Take something ordinary, and make it extra special using your inks, papers, and a few embellishments. Want to give it a try? Try these clipboards for great value!
