Today’s share is a quick card, and a design that is a great one to tuck away for using up scraps! I’ve used the Regal Winter papers for this project for a rich and elegant effect:
One idea is to make custom envelopes for your projects (a paper with one print side and a coordinating, more solid side is ideal), and then use the remaining scraps to create coordinating cards.
To create the scallop pattern, I cut about ten 1 3/4″ circles out of the scraps. Decide which prints you like best together.
TIP: Don’t be shy to mix and match your papers, even from other packs, for a unique look. I find specialty papers and a more general paper pack, like the Country Woods papers, work well.
TIP: Experiment with different embossing folders, or even just use the folder on select circles. I’ve used the Eyelet Folder here.
