Need a card that says, “You’re worth toasting to”? Perfect for any celebration, from birthdays to anniversaries, to just a job well done, the Celebratory Sips collection of products celebrates them all. Today I’m sharing three variations on a theme for your inspiration.
For a starting point, I used Sketch #18 in the Design Spark Card Sketch book as inspiration. I flipped the sketch 180 degrees for a different look.
As an added bonus, this one uses those tiny scraps you might (I know you do!) have left over:
For this version, I used more vibrant prints from the Celebratory Sips paper pack, then colored my drink in to match. There isn’t any Cloud Cover (the blue-gray color) in these prints, but I liked the compliment of the Cloud Cover ribbon with it anyway. The drink ties it all together.
I also made a softer version with embossed panels (Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder) and the Cloud Cover print from the Celebratory Sips papers. In this version, the drink is a stand-out contrast from the background, which is also quite nice.
I used Petunia Pop and Cloud Cover inks to watercolor in this drink.
To recreate this look, heat emboss the glass and ice cubes with white embossing powder on Watercolor Paper.
Next, wet the paper so the ink will move easier. Next, add a bit of Petunia Pop ink on the lower 2/3 of the drink. Then add Cloud Cover on the upper 1/3 of the drink, lightly blending the colors where they meet. Let dry naturally for the best effect.
And for this version, I went with the brighter colors of Timid Tiger and Petunia Pop.
