It’s October and time for another Blog Hop with the talented All Stars team!
Welcome to my blog and welcome to New Zealand! It’s that time of year when we start sneaking in a few Christmas projects! I try and make my Christmas cards generally ones that are easy to do quickly, knowing that many people need to make quite a few. Today’s share features the Peaceful Boughs stamp set (there are dies that go with this one, but this card is just stamping) and a gorgeous colour, Seaside Spray:
Simply stamp the branch in Seaside Spray a few times on the Seaside Spray cardstock. Use an Embossing Buddy, and then stamp the bough in Versamark, cover in White Embossing Powder, and heat.
I do love square cards. I don’t really know why I photographed this with a standard envelope. If you’re reading this, then you now know I can be a bit dopey.
I also used a bit of the Fine Tip Glue, and then added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter over the white branch. This really does take a card from nice to wow! And a Christmas card usually does call for a bit of sparkle in some fashion or another.
I also enjoy using something besides red and greens for Christmas, and a nice frosty blue with silver is also very beautiful for the season. The Seaside Spray ribbon has a bit of silver thread running through it, making is quite perfect for a Christmas project.
I can envision this card in other colours, too! I’d love to see what you try!
In the meantime, you can get 12 tutorials from the designers on this hop just by either placing an order of $50 NZD with me (if you live in NZ) during October or by purchasing the tutorial bundle below for $21 NZD:
