Happy New Year and welcome to New Zealand for the monthly All Stars Design Team Blog Hop! This month I went a bit overboard … I intended to make a stack of birthday cards and ended up making 80!! Let me share with you the highlights of my card making binge:
I began by just copying (basically) the sample in the Occasions Catalogue using the Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper, but using the dies instead. I just love these happy colours together.
I then just kept going with it and I love how versatile the dies can be – I plan to use these for our team birthdays and also for team promotions.
Next I moved onto the next sample right out of the catalogue, but changed it up to fit the dies. The new Stripes Embossing Folder is fun, too. I also started using the Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper.
Then I wanted to use the Tutti Fruiti Card bases and envelopes. This is a fun pack of 16 cards and envelopes, already printed and scored, and this is also FREE with a qualifying purchase during the SaleABration Sale!
The party hat paper called to be a border or a long strip while this design still features those awesome word dies.
Next is a similar design, but I’ve added the Birthday Mini Binder Clips.
At this point, I had used the entire pack of the Picture Perfect Design Series Paper, but was left with a pile of strips. This is probably my favorite design of all of them and an easy way to use up all those strips we all have! This time I didn’t use the “you” die to keep the card more clean. Plus with just “celebrate” or “amazing”, the card is even more versatile.
And very last, I used all the circles from die cutting the “you” and made a confetti card. Now I had truly used every last bit and have 80 cards in the stash!
