Today’s share is the last of my features on the new In Colors, and today we are looking at Pale Papaya! I shared this card in a video for my Online Catalogue Launch where I showed them the Pale Papaya and how it compared to the other oranges in the Stampin’ Up! range:
I never thought Petal Pink was very pink until I put it next to these colors. So Pale Papaya is like a very pale Pumpkin Pie, and it’s so far been the In Color I’ve used the most.
The Quiet Meadow bundle features some really great silhouette flower dies, so I wanted to do a card that focused on the possibly overlooked stamp images. I’ve stamped the long flowers in Versamark, heat embossed in white, and then used a Blending Brush with Pale Papaya and Pumpkin Pie over the top.
I feel a bit silly admitting that there was a time in my life when I thought both orange and browns were considered “gross” and had no place anywhere. As I’ve learned and experimented over the years, I have decided that there is a place and time for every color where it’s just the right thing.
It’s somewhat philosophical, isn’t it?
Of course I had to add those ADORABLE Bumblebee Trinkets! I just love those. They add not only a bit of metallic, but also literal and visual weight, as well as texture to your projects. This card just wouldn’t be quite the same without that gold bee there.

I hope you enjoyed not only meeting Pale Papaya, but also having a second look at the stamps in the Quiet Meadow bundle.
