My rendition here is inspired by a beautiful artist called PaperMoon. I made this card nearly two years ago, but it remains one of my favourites.
Petal Prints is being retired, and I am gutted about that! It's a beautiful two-step stamping set (see this Friday's post for a sample of that), but in this case, I've just used the "fill" flower and the "fill" hollyhock as the greenery.
Rather than using ink here, I've coloured the images with the Watercolour Crayons. You can see how one can acheive a beautiful blended look using these.
The background is acheived using a Cuttlebug folder and then using a sponge to ink lightly over the texture.
I've added a page to the blog that I will update daily to let you know what retiring items are sold out or low quantity. So far Petal Prints is still in good supply, but I still suggest you order this one as soon as possible to ensure delivery.
Stamp sets: Petal Prints and an old SAB set that I can't remember the name (for the words)
Colours used: Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery, Old Olive
Other: 1/4 grosgrain ribbon, cuttlebug textile folder, slider tags die cut
