Today’s share are the rest of the Graffiti Wall samples I made for a facebook live a few weeks ago. I made quite a few (with my eldest daughter’s help) because the more we played, the more we liked it. A few of these were even the “test pieces” while we tried different things.
Which one do you like best?
So this one I made on purpose with the Watercolor World stamp set. I used the Stamparatus and added the colors one by one with a Blending Brush. I always feel like with a rainbow color palette, it looks best to accent with white and neutrals, like black. I kept the rest of the project simple so the graffiti world map would stand out.
This project is similar to the Graffiti Motorcycle card I posted last week, but just used the Palms dies instead. I had one background left over after the video, and sure didn’t want to throw it out. I quite like the contrast of the palm trees with the graffiti background; nice one for a teenager, perhaps.
This background I started, then didn’t like it, and then we were using it to see what the ink sprayed on would look like. In the end, I decided it wasn’t too bad! I put on that great cycling die cut from the Greatest Journey die set to finish.
Those random sprays of smoky slate ink at the bottom look like shadows or oil stains.
And this background absolutely was the scrap piece we were using for experimenting. There are a lot of methods and colors on here; I don’t think I could recreate this if I tried!
But in the end, I decided it really wasn’t too bad. It was an odd size, so I layered it up and added the Artistic Die flower to finish.
And this sample I did create intentionally with the Painted Poppies stamp set. I’ve always liked this border of small flowers.
It’s best to color them in with the Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers) or similar for a really vivid effect against the colored background.
All of these samples were made the with Brick & Mortar embossing folder, a fabulous folder with fabulous detail (see above), as well as bricks with varying reliefs.
