I’m very excited to share with you today a technique my daughter and I developed one creative evening: the Graffiti Wall Technique! It took a few tries to get all the layers right, but I just love the end result.

This version was inspired by just some pictures of graffiti-ed walls we pulled off the internet. It’s quite fun to really examine the colors on a graffiti wall; the combinations were quite surprising.
We started out with a Balmy Blue card here, and then inked and embossed with the Brick & Mortar embossing folder.

I thought the Legendary Ride motorcycle worked in quite well with this background. Of course, you can change the seat, fenders, and flame to suit your recipient or whatever works best with your background.

I then tried this technique on Cajun Craze cardstock for more of a realistic effect, and I absolutely love how this turned out! I also added a bit of embossing paste for additional texture.

After quite a bit of experimenting, I decided it looked best to do any stamping after the Brick & Mortar embossing was done. The words then came out a bit imperfectly, like they might on a real brick wall. It just fits the vibe better in this case.
