It’s nearly Christmas, but let’s not forget those special people who have birthdays near the holidays, too! Today’s share is a remake of a cute, simple Christmas card I shared a few weeks ago. For this version, I use different colours and brightened it up with white instead of vanilla:
This little fairy or angel is just so cute! I’ve coloured her in with the Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers) using Purple Posy, Granny Apple Green, Ivory, Crumb Cake, and Mango Melody.
The fold is simple and doesn’t require extra cardstock of really any measuring, either. Fold your base card in half, then one side in half again. I made the white “inner card” a full card as well so no writing would show.
I had great fun in class sharing with everyone how to achieve this amazing look with the Basket Weave embossing folder: simply ink up the “recessed” side of the folder then emboss. The ink transfers to the lower details of the impression, giving quite an effective look to the texture!
