Black and white photographs are wonderful for scrapbooking – consider printing a few out next time you print photos. It’s also a great place for a someone just starting because the photos will work with almost any color combination on your page.
I’ve used those gorgeous Beautifully Penned papers, which are available during August and September, as the background. The only accent color is Blushing Bride, mostly because I wanted to use that gorgeous frayed ribbon!
A tiny detail: I used the Blending Brush to add just a small amount of the Blushing Bride ink to the printed papers around the photo mat. It’s just enough to soften the contrast between the mat and the papers and give that little bit more depth to the strips.
The flowers are from the Quiet Meadow bundle, which is just such a great one for silhouette flowers. I chose this one also because my wedding flowers were daisies (these are wedding photos).
Add a bit of the pretty Metallic Mesh to add an airy metallic accent.
For the facing page, I created a layout inspired by this card I made with the Beautifully Penned papers. I liked it so much, and it was a good one to transform into a scrapbooking page.
I’ve used all the same elements on the second page, but just arranged them differently.
The Quiet Meadow stamp set has a really great vintage word stamp, which I’ve used here and there on the background in Smoky Slate ink.
