This is a FUN project inspired by a wonderful swap I was given in Utah by a German demonstrator. Sadly, the original card has gone missing, so I cannot share the original artist here.

The original card had some metal workings in it that my builder husband could not really place here in New Zealand, so he sat down with the task of sorting out how to do it with paper only. He's a clever man!
With his design, here is the card fully extended:
The way he has worked this, it takes no extra pieces at all and everything slides up and down quite smoothly. However, you DO need a craft knife!
The bright papers I chose to use on this one were perfect for such a happy cake – Gingham Garden. This would also be an absolutely perfect wedding card!
