Another colour challenge is kicking off this evening at the Colour Inkspiration Facebook Group Challenges! This time we are using Highland Heather, Gray Granite, Pool Party, and Pear Pizzazz:
These are some of my favourite colours, so they were easy to work with! I got a little inspiration from Pinterest and used the Happy Birthday to You SaleAbration set paired with the new Birthday Dies to go with it:
I copied the brick background found in the inspiration photo, but with Pool Party and a bit of Whisper White ink. I just love the variegated relief on this Brick & Mortar embossing folder.
As you can see, I used the new Birthday dies that coordinate with this pretty birthday set, once to cut out the cake and then again to cut out a second layer of the flowers.
I embossed the image with Black Embossing powder and then watercoloured it in with an Aqua Painter and the ink pads. I did add just a dash of Mango Melody for the flower centres. I think I will be forgiven.
