There’s something truly special about preserving cherished moments in a handmade scrapbook layout, and I am so thrilled Stampin’ Up! will be offering more and more scrapbooking specific products. Today’s share is a wedding-themed page with an elegant yet simple design featuring the Heart Shaped stamp and die bundle from Stampin’ Up!
With most wedding themes, it’s good to keep the color palette simple and timeless, keeping the focus on the special photos.
I’ve taken the colors right from the wedding bouquet for great coordination. Embossing gives texture and interest, without adding color, so it’s a great choice for wedding themes. I’ve embossed strips behind the photos, and “faux embossed” by die cutting the Heart Shaped heart in white.
Tip: The right blue was Night of Navy, but the Night of Navy cardstock looked nearly black on this project. As an alternative, I swiped the Night of Navy ink pad onto a scrap of white cardstock, and then die cut. This not only gave me a lighter Night of Navy, but also a bit of color variation between the three flowers.
