I just love the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers, not just for coloring images, but for many other techniques! Today’s card is one I made probably more than a year ago, so my apologies I could not find the original designer on whose design I based mine.
To create the background, simply scribble with alcohol markers all over the back of a piece of Cardstock Vellum. Then sprinkle or spritz with isopropyl alcohol to blend the ink.
Once dry, on the other side of the vellum, apply a few stripes of adhesives. Next press in the Gilded Leafing onto the adhesive and let dry.
Cut out four of those gorgeous butterflies from the Brilliant Wings dies and adhere to the front.
I love how every single background made with the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers and Vellum turns out differently. You can also layer the vellum onto different colors of cardstock for different effects, too.
