Today’s share is one of the beautiful projects we made at the Techniques & Tea: Watercolouring Class. This one features the Whitewash technique using the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set.

Fresh Freesia with Crumb Cake is such a striking combination, and stamping on colored cardstock (Crumb Cake) is something a little bit different than the usual.
I’ve heat embossed the large flower to give little “walls” to help contain the ink for this technique. Plus, adding a bit of white really helps the image stand out on the crumb cake cardstock.

I’ve mixed a few purple inks for the flowers for that lovely variation. I’ve used Fresh Freesia and Orchid Oasis here; seems to be my favorite color combo at the moment.
I also used several green Stampin’ Blends for the leaves, just for fun and something different. It’s also fun to see how each color looks on Crumb Cake cardstock.
