Hi, friends! Today I’d like to share with you a few tips for using your Watercolor Pencils. The pencils are not only a fun tool in and of themselves, but they are also an economical way to get a nice variety of color options in your stash.
*Just a disclaimer: this project (and video) doesn’t show every possibility with the pencils, but will give you a good starting foundation.
For my demonstration project in the video below, I’ve used the Irresistible Blooms bundle for a soft, watercolored effect. The flowers were heat embossed with white embossing powder, and then colored in with the Watercolor Pencils.
I love how nicely the colors blend together if you want to use 2 or 3 colors within the image.
I have also used the Watercolor Pencils for the watercolor washed background! You can certainly use ink refills or an ink pad for this effect, but I wanted to showcase how the pencils work as well, just to showcase how nicely the colors blend with water.
Here are a few additional ways you can use the Watercolor Pencils. Please enjoy the video below for a demonstration of how these methods work and look.
