You Can Do It: Notes of Nature Masked Blended Background

Welcome to another All Star Design Team hop! This month, we are featuring the Nature’s Sweetness Suite, which includes the Notes of Nature and the Lovely and Sweet stamp and die sets.

For my project on the hop, I’m sharing one of my Artisan projects, a simple design you can make in various colors:

I chose Pecan Pie for the background, to tone in with the strip of the Nature’s Sweetness papers along the left hand side.

How to create the background:

1. Create a simple mask by cutting a circle out of a scrap paper with a punch or die.
2. Then use a Blending Brush and Pecan Pie ink and blend through the mask.
3. Leave lighter areas for a more interesting effect

Next, I stamped the leaf in Versamark and used Black Embossing Powder to make the image really vibrant and dark. I added a little Gray Granite with a water painter to finish it off.
