This set has been a favourite with my hostesses – just about five weeks left and it will be deleted!
I don't use a lot of blue in my work naturally; so this one was a little stretch for me. The yellow card is Barely Banana, but the yellow ink is Summer Sun. Barely Banana and Summer Sun are the same yellow, just a shade and a tint of each other.
Using lights and darks of the same colour is an effective way to get some visual depth without creating extra contrast or "busy-ness" to a project. To further that idea, I used vellum for one of my layers because it didn't add any colour.
The clips in the Hodge Podge kits are another easy way to add just a bit of ribbon. It adds a lot of texture and colour without costing much, either, because you only use a few centimetres of ribbon.
