Here’s a unique way to use your envelopes: use them to create pockets in your next card!
This month, the All Stars Design Team is focusing on the Sweet Symmetry bundle, a vibrant collection of solid images, perfect for quick projects with bold designs.
Today’s share is a re-make of a favorite project – the pocket card made with an envelope!
Let’s start with the background. The Smoky Slate layers are embossed with the Merriest Moments folder, a favorite at the moment. It was easy to line up the flap and the bottom piece so the frame shape in the middle of the folder flowed from one to the other.
I love stamping with solid images; they allow for so many techniques as well as quick stamping. For this project, I inked the image with a sponge dauber using Blushing Bride, Polished Pink, and Smoky Slate.
The inside of the card has a fun surprise – two pockets perfect for a little notecard and a small gift. it’s just the right size for a gift voucher, a photo, or bag of tea, or a flat chocolate square. This pocket is made in 20 seconds by folding an envelope in half and trimming the edges to create two pockets!
Both the sentiments are from the Through It Together set, a great collection of thoughtful, small sayings in various fonts.

I love pocket cards, and yours is fabulous! I especially like the detail of the embossed circular tab at the top of the insert.

Thanks, Charlotte! I love pocket cards, too. Something a little different. 🙂
