A Fish and a Wish is a versatile bundle, including a Fish Punch and the great fish images in the stamp set. I love using the punches for quick cards!
Here in New Zealand, a nautical card always goes down well (seeing as we are an island), and today’s share is just right for a children’s birthday card or just a general card for someone who likes the beach or the tropics.
The background is fairly simple with some quick stamping of “waves” and seaweed. Next, add some fish punched out with the Fish punch for a quick dimensional effect. The punch even includes those little fins for extra contrast and detail.
Although the images are somewhat whimsical, I do like how detailed they are. All that shading in the fish, the seaweed, and the blue haze in the waves is ALL etched right into the rubber. Simply ink and stamp!
The designers at Stampin’ Up! really are incredible; their innovation just blows me away. We’ve come such a long way from when I started stamping 27 years ago.
