Today’s share is a fun, festive Christmas card with a tropical splash with the Surfing Santa stamp set. I love this fun guy! Inspired by another card from a team swap, I went with a bit of Pretty in Pink instead of traditional red for a fresh, sunny color palette:
I think this was my favorite Christmas card this season; I just love all the little techniques while still keeping the card light and fresh.
TIPS:
- Use the Iridescent Gems to add a bit of shimmery “splash” to the waves.
- Use the Pool Party Two-Toned Cardstock to create waves with the organic, white edge.
- Experiment with the color Palette, coloring in your Santa to suit your style and preferences.
I also added some Fine Tip Glue to the sunglasses and drink glass for texture and shine. I love the little details that take the image from flat to interesting! I colored the Surfing Santa with the Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers) so I could get the nice light and darker tones.
