It's been a good long while since I've done a scrapbooking layout post. This is perhaps my favourite creation so far – a beautiful example of how rubber stamps can really add that wow factor to scrapbooking layouts.
My inspiration was my swap card (which was in turn inspired by Michelle Zindorf). It's actually pretty easy and fun to take a card layout and turn it into a page. the concept being that you move the focal point from the card design and shift it to a photograph. The card focal point then becomes an embellishment.
The main thing I was teaching here was brayering. The background "paper" is all stamped and brayered. It featured a lot of layering of images and techniques, but taken step by step, it's all very acheivable.
I've wanted to do a layout with this set since it first came out like a year ago (or more?). The sentiment included in this one is just perfect. And very fitting for this photo. I designed this layout when I was feeling a great deal of sorrow and compassion at the same time; I hope that all came through in the details.
