Quickly Altering Your Printed Papers: True Blue Florals
This is my favorite project I made with the True Blue Florals papers, and I hope you enjoy this one, too. Did you know you can easily alter your printed papers? This is a great little hack (I often forget about doing it, too!) to keep in your repetoire for when you don’t have just the right thing on hand.
I started with Sketch #2 in the Design Spark Sketch Book, and selected variation C for today’s share:

The concept is simple, but it opens up so many possibilities! Just use a Blending Brush with ink, and blend color on to your printed paper. Any white or light areas will showcase that color, and medium colors will change depth. Dark colors will generally be unaffected.
You can see the side by side comparison of this print from the True Blue Florals on the right hand side of the photo above. One is as printed, and the other is with Fresh Freesia blended on top.
This technique is especially useful with a pack of black and white prints. The True Blue Florals pack had only two colors, which makes them very versatile, but for even more possiblities add that one color in for a unique effect.

I made this flower from the Lovely Arrangments die set, coming 6 January, 2026. This is also in Fresh Freesia, to coordinate with my “new” printed paper.
I actually love these Night of Navy leaves, from the same die set. Leaves don’t have to be green; I think they are perfect here in Night of Navy.
The floral arrangement is placed on one of the large Gold Hoops for a bit of shine and elegance.
