It’s a new week and it’s bitterly cold here in Auckland this morning! But the sun is out and I’m excited to share with you a beautiful double scrapbooking layout featuring the Pressed Petals Suite (pg 73):
I’ve used the burlap printed paper here from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series papers, and stamped all around the edges with the Very Versailles stamp set. The leaf image in this set is particularly beautiful!
I also used the Detailed Bands die set with this bundle – I think these ornate bands or frames are quite useful to mix in with many other images. They are designed to go around a card front or box, but they also work quite well as an element on a larger project like this one.
And while I do miss our Large Letters, the new Hand-Lettered Prose dies are about 1/3 the price and still large enough for a good-sized title on a layout. I think these letters will prove to be quite useful!
Oh and don’t we all love this new washi tape?! The Pressed Petals Specialty Washi tape is actually a series of separate petals, designed to create these gorgeous 3D flowers! So quick and easy, too. Link below to have a better look the washi tape.
I do like my bit of metallic on my layouts. On this one, I used a splatter stamp and some gold embossing powder to add some subtle visual weight and a bit of shine to contrast with the burlap. Oh it’s so satisfying to make something beautiful!
