It's really great to sit down and make things that are intended for gifts for those you care about. And this is why we do what we do!
I had the pleasure last week to make up some fun Kraft Grid Journals to give away. Whilst I did pull out a few hairs in the design process (even something so simple . . ), it was lots of fun and very rewarding.
Sort of a cowboy look.
The corners are embossed with the new Filigree Frame Embossing Folder, then tapped with the Encore Gold ink and heat embossed with the Iridescent Ice powder. LIking the gold! Wasn't a perfect finish, but the "rough" look worked nicely.
I kept the front without many layers to make it practical for toting around without getting munched.
It was hard work getting that Glimmer Paper rolled up tightly to fit into those pens, but it was worth it!! Must have the matching pen so children and husband do not steal it! 😉

The journals look great Jacque.
I wanted to pop in and say thank you for coming down to Wellington on Saturday and sharing your workshop tips.
Even after doing workshops for 7 years I still managed to pick up a couple of useful tricks from your presentation.
