Welcome to a new series of tutorials, projects, and blog posts from the All Stars team! This series will be five months long, and each month we will focus on a particular bundle. This month, we are all creating projects with the Peaceful Poppies Suite:
I’ve created a Double Z fold card – one that is actually quite simple to put together but looks fun and interesting! Those are the best kinds of projects – ones that are actually quite easy but look amazing.
I chose to use the Brick & Mortar folder throughout the card; the main thing when teaching this was to make sure the bricks are all going the right direction. I just love this folder; I love the differences in size and depth of the bricks and the contrast with the pretty flowers.
It was a little tricky to get a good photograph of this whole card. I did use just a little pop of the bright, poppy print in the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper. It’s just a small amount of the print and gives just the right eye candy when opening the card.
On the front of the card, I’ve used both sizes of poppies. The outline dies do match perfectly with the “fill” dies, but I do actually prefer them off-set just a little, as above. The little speckles you may see is the Champagne Shimmer Paint, made into a spray and spritzed on the front of the card.
Thanks for stopping in! I hope you’ve enjoyed my project!
