Each month, the Global Video Hop team selects a theme, and we make a video showcasing that topic. Last month, it was my turn, and I selected One Layer Cards, which was certainly a challenge for all of us! But I do think it’s great to work out ways to add interest and texture without adding layers. You can do so much with just ink!
I selected to use the new Abundant Beauty masks:
For my first version, I used Fresh Freesia and Melon Mambo to create bright, striking flowers with the new Abundant Beauty masks. I love how easy these masks are to use; each individual mask adds another layer of detail, complete with notches to line them up easily.
For my second version, I used Highland Heather and Boho Blue for a more sophisticated effect. I also used the Stitched with Whimsy dies around the edge rather than the Radiating Stitches on the first sample.
I kept the embellishments simple, too, in keeping with the spirit of the challenge. A bit of Wink of Stella also adds some nice interest to the flowers. Check out the video for a fun way to apply the Wink of Stella, while also adding some visual texture to your images.
