Welcome to another Global Stampin’ Video Hop! This month we are each featuring a project that uses both SaleABration items along with Mini Catalogue products. I’ve chosen to use the pretty Favored Flowers papers along with the Fine Shimmer Paper pack to re-create an old favorite: the Rip & Flip card!
For the Rip & Flip technique, it’s best to have papers that have a fairly small print on one side, and a more solid print on the other. But most importantly, it’s best if the two prints coordinate with each other, which often they don’t.
However, EVERY single sheet in the Favored Flowers pack meets this criteria beautifully, so it was really the perfect paper pack to showcase this fun card front idea.
I made a sample with every print in the pack, and it was fun to see all the combinations. You can select to have more of the floral or more of the solid print showing.
You can also select which way the rip goes (the long or the short way), as well as the orientation of the card. Easily make a stack of cards with no two alike!
The Fine Shimmer paper is not “required”, but a really nice extra layer in there for a bit of visual texture and shine. It’s a great way to use small scraps of any of the specialty papers, or even small scraps of cardstock or coordinating printed paper scraps.
You can get the Favored Flowers paper pack for FREE with a qualifying order with me during January or February 2023. It’s a very quick way to make a set of 72 cards in an afternoon, with each one being unique.
