Another cat card! But hey, we love them here in this house. And even if you don’t, I’d guess you give cards to someone who does. Today’s card is inspired by the colors in Colour Inkspiration #140:
And here is my Love Cats card with these pretty colors:
Early Espresso was the natural choice for the cat him or herself.
I then used the other colors for the strips across the bottom. I’ve always loved the look of combining embossing folders, which is a great way to add interest to plain cardstock.
It’s best to choose embossing folders with small prints, or at least ones where you can tell what they are from a very small section. The Hive, Merry Melody, and Pretty Flowers folders worked very well.
Use a thin layer of glue or a few glue dots to adhere the ball of yarn. I’ve found it’s easiest to start the twine in the middle, and then carefully wind around from that starting point. Nice way to add a bit of texture without a bow, too!
