I can't remember if mentioned this on a previous post, but when I was designing this, I challenged myself to use colours I don't normally reach for.
This Level 2 Hostess Set is absolutely perfect for many many techniques – one of which is coloring on the stamps using Watercolor Wonder Crayons:
It takes a bit of finesse, but this is one of my favourite techniques – one of my favourite finished looks. The blending of colours is just beautiful!
The Words are from the new You're A Gem set in the Autumn Winter Mini – all sized perfectly to fit with the Beveled Windows, I discovered. Loving those windows; they add such class to a project. I think I will use them heaps in my Senz Classes:
To use the Watercolour Wonder Crayons for this technique:
1. Spritz your Cardstock with water until it's wet, but not puddling. I've used Naturals Ivory here because it contains a bit of cotton and won't shred as readily as other cardstocks.
2. Colour your rubber directly with the crayons. You might need to VERY lightly spritz the rubber inititally to get the wax to transfer.
3. Stamp. You can usually get 2 or 3 pretty good images out of one colouring.
*You may need to just play a bit testing different wetnesses and things to get it just how you want it.
Feel free to email me with any questions or to book in a class to do this technique with me!
You can get this stamp set FREE by hostessing a class or workshop or by using my Loyalty Punch Card!
