Kindred Greetings Paper Pumpkin Alternatives | August 2026 Card Ideas
Today’s projects are ones I had a great deal of fun creating! I’m using primarily the August 2026 Kindred Greetings Paper Pumpkin kit, but created my own projects with the supplies:

First, I just loved this beautiful laser cut sheet that came in the Kindred Greetings Paper Pumpkin kit. It was already a coral color, but I flipped it over, and inked it up with Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss. Gorgeous!

I used the leaf and circle die cuts that were ready in the kit (coloring the leaf die cuts with Soft Seafoam, so this project came together extremely quickly.

AND, while you’re inking up the laser cut, why not do it on top of another card front and go for a two-for-one? I think this is just as beautiful using the same color combination and just mixing up the details a bit.

The new Softly Woven embossing folder is really such a winner – I love that it’s so, so neutral that one can pair it with truly anything.
No Soft Sea Foam ribbon? I’ve used the new White Ribbon and just colored it in with the Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends.

These two projects feature my favorite thing about crafting: using inks and markers to alter something to your own vision.

I really love the vine image in the Kindred Greetings stamp set (every Paper Pumpkin box comes with an exclusive stamp set as well as an ink spot). I immediately thought of this fun idea, inspired by the Tammy Wilson style.
To create the background: first, blend a piece of Basic White with the colors of your choice. Next, stamp the vine in those same colors. And last, sprinkle and few drops of water over top and let dry.

I’ve used the included leaf, circle, and word laser cuts included in the kit. The blue ombre background is a piece cut from one of the ombre envelopes (included).

The project on the left was made at a demonstrator event and is made pretty much as prescribed by the kit. Clean, simple, and nice.
I wanted to step it up, while still keeping the same sort of layout, and my version is on the right. This is a good example of how you don’t even have to come up with entirely new concepts to enjoy Paper Pumpkin; you can just step up the included designs.

I added a soft shadow of Lost Lagoon under the strips and doubled the leaf die cuts. I also embossed each of the panels with a different embossing folder, added a few gems, and used a larger, silver sentiment to tie in the silver gems.
The words are from the Classic Greetings hot foil dies, ones that I’ve found to be quite useful.

Here is another example of taking the prescribed project design, and just adding a few more layers and details.

I’ve added the embossed layer with the Softly Woven folder again, added the In Color Butterfly Gems, and included a pop of color with the Blackberry Bliss sentiments (Sweetly Sentimental hot foil and die set).

This sample is a personal favorite! Inspired by a more clean and simple version Stampin’ Up! posted online, I stamped that vine stamp along the left hand side, added a bit of Pool Party ink to blend, and topped with those cute flowers from the Detailed Flora die set.
The Detailed Flora die set is designed to coordinate with three month’s worth of Paper Pumpkin kits. These flowers were “meant” to go with the July Hooray for Birthdays kit, but they work beautifully with the stamp set in the Kindred Greetings kit, too.

And another color way, just for fun.
You can see the live demonstration of this project HERE.

The stamp set not only has that nice vine and heartfelt words, but it also has this sweet little heart. I thought this design was perfect for a thinking of your or a sympathy card.

I made a second version with a little more color, this time with Barely Blush and Misty Moonlight.
