Inspired by a birthday card by Julia Leece, this project is one I shared at a few different Extravaganzas and am pleased to share with you a tutorial so you can make this one at home, too!
Using the Hello, Sailor stamp set, I've created a rich masculine project with a definate "pirate theme"
I'm telling the truth when I say that Hardwood stamp hasn't even made it to my shelf; it is ALWAYS in use or packed for a project!! Great this "pirate plank" or flowers . . or for the scrapbook page I have yet to blog featuring my carpenter Grandfather.. . .
A little inking and rolling of the cardstock makes for a great pirate map. I chose to use the Gold twine here to go along with the treasure theme.
The card itself is a file folder card adhere to make a pocket and the inner map slides out. I've made 26 of these for my Caribbean Cruise swaps, too! Plus saved one for my best mate who loves his Coastguard.
