Today’s project is inspired by a card shared by the talented Artisan team member, Jenneke Dijkstra de Jong. I loved the happy colours here. Normally I’m not such a fan of red and green together, but I think the varying shades of green and the small prints in the Heartwarming Hugs papers make this Christmas card feel like a festive quilt:
The Peace & Joy dies make for some nice, bold words on this otherwise busy backdrop. The layer of vellum also gives a nice frame for the sentiment. Vellum is great when you want to tone down something on your project!
Each die has three layers (I’ve used two here). The first layer is the thin outline for the word, then a mat. The third layer is a “bubble” sort of image with an even larger layer for maximum impact.
Three of these cards are included in my Online Stamp A Stack Class! You’ll receive kits for 12 cards, 3 each of 4 designs. In addition, all the cutting, die cutting, and embossing have been done for you! You will only need to have some Christmas word stamps (your choice – anything you have will likely work) and a black ink pad.
Each class also includes full pre-recorded videos you can watch at any time, photos, and a complete supply list. You can sign up HERE, or use the Paypal link below:
