Welcome to another All Stars team blog hop! Today we are featuring the Hand-Penned suite, a beautiful set of images with a delicate design. Our tutorial bundle this month also features the Hand-Penned suite (different set of projects than are on the hop), which you can get for free with an order with me or purchase below.
My project today is a scrapbooking layout. For those who don’t scrapbook, perhaps you can take some of the elements and apply them to a card instead:
This layout is inspired by one I found on Pinterest from scrapbook.com, called Kassidy. I changed it up quite a bit to suit my personal taste and the products I have, but it was nice to do something in a more vintage style after a long break. I don’t particularly like too busy, but I do enjoy the vintage feel.
The Be Dazzling specialty paper was just the right colour for the title. It’s not a bright gold, nor is it too shiny for vintage. This paper is available during August and September only as a free gift with qualifying purchase (while stocks last).
The “happy” is from Words of Cheer, one of our new Christmas bundles.
I used the Hand-Penned stamps in two colors for this layout. First, in white on the Crumb Cake background. Second, I inked it in both Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral to create a custom Designer Series Paper.
I didn’t have quite the right thing, so I just created my own. That’s one of the beauties of having a good selection of ink colors and stamp images; you can always create your own papers and backgrounds to suit your projects perfectly!
So . . , one of my new loves is this fantastic Cork Paper! Doesn’t it just add some incredible texture? But it’s truly super thin, so it won’t add bulk to your projects. It’s perfect for adding that natural texture, which goes with pretty much any project and color scheme. I’ve also used it here as the reinforcer on the journalling tag. The Cork Paper die cuts beautifully.
Between the lacy stamped images and the detailed “doily” die, I felt the flowers needed to be more “solid”. I went back to a old favorites – the Daisy Punch and the Medium Daisy Punch. It just so happens daisies are one of my favorite flowers, so I’m always happy to use them!

I did also create a facing page for this layout. When creating a second page, I tend to make it a more simple design featuring multiple photos, while bringing all the colors and elements through. It’s also a good way to use up the bits and pieces left over!
Receive the 12 exclusive Hand-Penned tutorials (different to the projects featured here), complete with videos, supply list, written cutting measurements in both imperial and metric, and photos FREE with a purchase of $50 NZD or more with me during August!
You can also just purchase the 12 tutorials outright for just $22.50:
And last, you may also choose to subscribe for six months of our tutorial collections for the price of five:
Including Expressions in Ink, Hand-Penned, Sweet as a Peach, Blackberry Beauty, Sweet Symmetry, and Bloom Where You’re Planted.
Enjoy the rest of the hop!
