Today’s share features a quick & easy technique with the Stampin’ Write Markers: Faux Watercolor background! Every time you do it, it comes out differently, making each project unique.

How to Create a Faux Watercolor Background
- Color the stamping block
Using the brush end of your Stampin’ Write (water based) marker, brush various colors on to the acrylic block. Work reasonably quickly.
- Spritz the block with water
Use a fine mister, like the Stampin’ Spritzer, and spray a generous amount of water from about 12 inches away. The colors will start to blend together.
- Stamp onto cardstock
Have a stamping mat (foam mat) under your cardstock. Stamp the block down and press. Lift up. Experiment with different amounts of water to see what works best with your supplies.

I’ve paired this great background with the Terrific Toadstools stamp and punch bundle. I’ve embossed them clear on black for a silhouette effect.
