Today’s share is project I made on a recent Facebook Live, and I just love this easy, but unique effect! Create a faux tile look with your Simply Scored Scoring Board to give a new look to the images you may already have.
For this project, I’ve used the Textured Florals stamp set, a beautiful one with distinktive style stamps (meaning the shading is etched right into the stamp, so you just ink and go with a fabulous effect). Their watercolor-look design also lends itself well to the images overlapping, which makes for some quick stamping.
I have found that the Faux Tile technique tends to work best with more solid images to give the grid lines more of an opportunity to stand out.
Use the Simply Scored Scoring Board for deeply etched score lines, a necessary first step to this technique. I would even suggest going over the scoring twice to make them as deep as possible.
