Featuring the Songbird Builder Punch, today’s share is a card I taught at SENZ (papercrafting expo) last year, and I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to share it. I loved making this one and sharing it with the people who came to craft with me on the stand.
This card is cut as a standard shape and size card, but I’ve added a few extra creases to fold in the corners to create this fun birdhouse shape. Great way to create a bit of a fun fold, without any more pieces than a standard sized card base would take.
Just add some simple strips of Basic White cardstock for the top and bottom of the house to finish.
I love these bright colors against the crumb cake base. When using brights, it can be nice to use basically the whole rainbow for a big splash. I also really like the mix of Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party (the two greens) here.
Download the step-by-step tutorial for the measurements and construction of this card (getting the roof just right!) here. Have fun! You can make this card into a dog house or a housewarming card, too.
