It’s already time for another color challenge at the Colour Inkspiration Challenge Page! You are welcome to join in, and I hope my project inspires you to create something with these colors: Crumb Cake, Pretty Peacock, Crushed Curry, and Just Jade.
Just this photo inspires me! I love that rug so much. Not one a cat owner could have for any length of time, but I love it nonetheless. And here is my project with these colors:
I love lace, so I was immediately drawn to the Borders Abound set in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue. I’ve embossed these and then watercolored over the top with the color challenge colors.
The new Water Painters come with a flat brush (a large paint brush with a flat tip), so you can create backgrounds like this with just a few sweeps of color! This is great when you want the colors to blend together smoothly. I particularly like when the two colors meet, one can achieve a third color as well.
Did you know you can alter your ribbons? I’ve taken just the trim off of the Pretty Peacock Linen Ribbon, leaving the Crumb Cake portion for another day. It does come out a bit raggedy, but I quite like that against the pretty background.
We’d love to have you join in this color challenge! If you don’t have exactly those colors, just use the closest you have. If you’d like to order any ink or cardstock or other materials, please browse my online store!
Looking to make some Christmas cards? Join me for a class!
Thanks for stopping by my stamping studio! ~ Jacque W.
